What skin types can be treated?

Aerolase® is safe and effective for all skin types, including skin of color, avoiding the pigmentary risks that can be associated with other laser systems.

What preparation is needed prior to treatment?

Prior to your Aerolase® treatment, your provider will conduct a consultation to determine your treatment plan, which will address your concerns and produce optimal results.

Patients who are using a topical Retin-A or taking photosensitizing medication should wait a period of time, recommended by your provider, prior to having your first treatment.

Is the treatment painful?

The Aerolase® technology provides little to no pain during a treatment. There is just a mild, very tolerable sensation of heat.

How many treatments will I need?

Because Aerolase® treats a wide range of conditions, the number of treatments and time between each treatment will be determined by the condition being treated. While you will see improvement after one treatment, most plans require multiple treatments to achieve optimal results.

What can I expect post-treatment?

After having an Aerolase® treatment, you will experience little to no downtime. A cool compress can be used for any slight redness or swelling that may be experienced. It is important to use gentle skincare products, keep skin well moisturized, and apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+.
